Incorporating elements of a website, a newsletter, a press release, a television or radio show, a blog is an elegant, substantive, tasteful, and inexpensive way to grow your practice. A good blog will drive up your search engine rankings, give you credibility as an authority in your field, help prospects to discover you, and enhance your relationships with existing clients and referral sources. And the costs are next to zero. No printing. No postage. No advertising. It all sounds great, except for one thing — you have to write.

LegalGhostBlogger is pleased to offer the following options, singly or in combination, to meet your blogging needs.

Syndicated Blog Service ($250 a month for 3 syndicated blogs/week)

The Syndicated Blog Service provides the volume you want without skimping on content. This service keeps your blog fresh and interesting for frequent visitors to your website. The thrice-weekly blogs are available to any professional who registers for the service, but can be posted directly to your own blog. Written by a writer and paralegal with years of experience in the field of Estate Planning, Retirement Planning, and Special Needs Planning, posts will focus primarily on those three areas, with occasional forays into related topics to spice things up. Syndicated blogs are approximately 200 words in length, and include links to news articles, current events, related blogs, and other relevant web content. The Syndicated Blog Service is on the cutting edge of news and events, and is sure to keep your readers coming back for more.

Custom Blog Service ($500 a month for 1 custom blog/week)

The Custom Blog Service provides personalized blogs, written expressly to fit your firm’s unique personality and the interests of your client base. With our Custom Service LegalGhostBlogger gets to know your firm through communication and research. We begin with an introductory teleconference, with follow-up e-mail or phone communication as needed. This initial teleconference gives us the foundation we need to further research issues and events in your area of expertise. Each post is relevant, knowledgeable, and expertly written on topics within your specialty. Custom blogs are approximately 300 words in length, and will often include links to news articles, current events, other blogs, and your own website. With this service you have the option of reading and approving each blog before it is posted. The Custom Blog Service is truly the limousine of blogging—it gives you the repute of writing your own high-quality blog without any of the dirty work.

The BlogCoach Plan℠ ($500/month, $250/month after 6 months)

One size does not fit all, and if you are an attorney in a practice area other than estate planning, or if you simply enjoy writing your own blog posts but need a little coaching and accountability, you might be a perfect candidate for The BlogCoach Plan. This unique program offers you the individual attention and blogging/writing expertise of a personal coach, while your clients and readers still get the benefit of your own unique voice and personality — an important step toward achieving your goal of bonding with your audience.

The BlogCoach Plan℠ includes the following:

  • Weekly coaching sessions by phone of approximately one half hour duration. During these calls we will discuss topic ideas, review previous blogs, and talk about tools that can be used to improve the readership of your blog.  Unlimited email access to your blog coach supplements these telephone sessions.
  • Professional editing and review of each blog post before it is published.
• Regular steps to take your blog to the next level (subscription options, sharing options, adding categories, suggested reading list for clients, blog roll (other related and helpful websites), links to your own articles, etc.)
  • Implementation of best methods to gain subscribers for your blog.
  • Modernizing your blog by adding podcasts and video posts.
  • Learning to use your blog to leverage other “social media” such as Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, and YouTube.
  • Using your expert status and increased credibility as a blogger to get quoted in important publications (After the blog has been well-established.)
  • Gathering blog posts together into a book.
  • Regular review of your blog statistics (although please note these statistics will need time to become meaningful.)
  • Ideas for blog posts sent periodically, providing fodder and encouragement when the “honeymoon” period has passed. (This is when most new bloggers run out of ideas and abandon their blogs.)
  • Accountability. Consistent implementation is where most attorneys fall down on new initiatives. Your blog coach will keep you on track as together, you turn your blog into a “must read” resource in your practice area.
